Version 1.3 — 21 January 2005:

• Added AppleScript support, as documented in the User Guide. A sample AppleScript is included with the download.
• Added keyboard selection of the Presets pop-up menu. In the Main Window, type the first few characters of the desired preset to select it. This also works for the “Edit Presets” and “Save Current Setting” menu options. The default activation time for typed preset selection is 1 second, but you may implement it immediately by typing and then pressing [return] or [enter].
• Added ability to save and load Presets Files. Save or load presets by opening the Edit Presets Window, and using the “Actions...” control. (Presets may also be loaded by double-clicking a presets file on disk, or by dragging a presets file onto the DarkAdapted icon.) Sample presets files are included with the download.
• Added ability to add separators to the Presets pop-up via the Edit Presets Window.
• Added preference to control whether DarkAdapted quits when the Main Window is closed. This defaults to quitting DarkAdapted when closing the Main Window.
• Add “Show Main Window” to “Special” menu.
• Internet Update: After downloading completes, the downloaded archive is selected in the Finder on Mac OS. On Windows, the enclosing folder is opened in Windows Explorer.
• DarkAdapted now waits 2-3 minutes after launch or wake from sleep before checking for Internet updates. This fixes a problem where an error could be reported after waking from sleep, if DarkAdapted checked for updates before the Internet connection was back up.
• Shortened Internet Update timeout period, and made timeout error message more descriptive.
• When the Presets pop-up menu is blank (because the gamma was set via the sliders), Presets pop-up menu no longer reads “Full Brightness” after editing or saving a preset.
• Fixed error that could occur in the Edit Presets Window when clicking the Rename or Duplicate button with no preset selected.
• Presets pop-up menu no longer clears its current setting when opening the Edit Presets Window. The presets pop-up menu should now only clear if you change the gamma manually, or if you delete the currently selected preset.
• Updated and reduced size of User Guide.
