Revision History
ScopeDriver 1.2 Released 04 March 2002
- Initial release to support the Autostar model.
- In Night Vision Mode, all warning dialogs now use black text. Previously, some warning dialog text would draw in red, rendering it invisible in red Night Vision Mode.
- Autostar: Azimuth should no longer be off by 180 degrees.
- Most recent object (resulting from Find Object Window) now displayed in Main Window’s title bar.
- ScopeDriver now alerts user to excessive communication failures (more than 5 failures in a five-minute period).
- Added grid lines to Log, and expanded line spacing.
- Greater stability in OS X builds.
- Reworked modal dialogs for better performance.
- Added contextual enabling of buttons in Site Edit Window.
- Autostar: Find Object Window now contains planets.
- Autostar: Attempting to use an Observing List that uses catalog references (which Autostar does not support via serial control) results in an explanatory dialog.
- Program will attempt to warn when the incorrect telescope model is chosen in the “Connect” window.
- Added ability to cancel long connection attempts by pressing
COMMAND-period.
- Connection closes after Park command for Autostar telescopes.
- Fixed bug that — under some circumstances — failed to initiate “long format” commands with Autostar instruments.
- Fixed initial connection timeout.
- Changes to About Box.
- Added warning when a connection might be inadvertently closed.
- Completed new database for Autostar series (approx. 20,000 objects), all referenced by right ascension and declination. This works around the inability to slew to an Autostar library object via its catalog reference. The correct database is loaded when a connection or test connection is established.
- Now hiding Tracking control in Main Window when an Autostar is selected, since tracking is automatically handled by Autostar.
- Park command is implemented on Autostar.
- Position Limits are implemented on Autostar.
- Objects menu implemented for Autostar.
- Alt-Az option removed from Slew To Coordinates Window when Autostar is the selected instrument.
- Fixed bug where the very first User Object would fail to appear in the Find Object Window when the mode was set to “Object Name Begins With.”
- Implemented command buffering (delay between commands) through Preferences Window. Allowable values for this beta are zero to 20 ticks (1/60 second), although anything over 10 or so will lead to command delays.
- Log Window shows progress indicator when deleting a large number of entries.
- Autofill in the Find Object Window no longer broken when summoned from Objects menu (example: selecting “Messier Object...” from Objects menu now opens Find Object Window with “Messier #” in the text field, and the “#” character selected).
- Pending commands cleared from telescope buffer when new command sent.
- Slew Progress Window should now close more reliably with Autostar instruments.
