ScopeDriver 1.2.1 Released 07 May 2002
- Preference added for “Arrow Labels Instead of Directions” for telescope slew buttons.
- Implemented automatic command retry for failed communications. Commands that expect a return value from the telescope are retried if the expected result is not returned. Commands with no telescope response are sent repeatedly. Command Retries are user-selectable via the Startup Preferences Window. Access the window by holding down the
SHIFTkey as ScopeDriver launches. You may now specify between 1 and 5 command attempts.
- Changed the preference “Reverse Left/Right (E/W) Direction Controls” so that its default value is “true.” While this is different from the hand control arrangement, people seem to expect ScopeDriver’s buttons to appear as they do in the sky by default. If you have previously set any preferences, this setting will not change.
- Help tags (OS X) and Balloon Help (Classic) added to the following windows: Startup Preferences, Registration, Connect, Application Preferences, and the Navigation Palette.
- Fixed a situation in which communication failure window could become reentrant, throwing an exception and halting the application.
- When in Alt-Azimuth or Land alignment modes, ScopeDriver now uses slew button labels “Up/Dn/L/R” instead of “N/S/E/W.” Preferences setting to use blank arrows overrides both sets of labels, and both axes remain reversible via the Preferences Screen.
- Changes to Preferences Window to reflect new slew button labels.
- Moved Command Buffer field from Main Preferences Window to Startup Preferences Window.
- Fixed display update problem with Navigation Palette on some systems.
- Added registration removal control to Startup Preferences Dialog.
- Added Defaults button to Startup Preferences Window.
- Command Buffer Delay (Startup Preferences Window) maximum has been changed from 20 to 8.
- Main Window “Stop” button now highlights more aesthetically.
- OS X: Slew Progress Window returns to front if another window somehow becomes activated because of OS X layering.
- Reworked Registration Dialog to link to the payment web site. Also reorganized Registration dialog to (hopefully) be more understandable.
Fixed Main Window’s Slew Rate radio buttons for Autostars.
- Changed Slew Rate dialog to utilize radio buttons instead of a slider. Key equivalents (S,M,F, and the arrow keys) still work.
- Backup preferences file now appears in ScopeDriver Data Folder.
- Updated About Box.
